Most of us are
used to wearing cool costumes and other neat Star Wars stuff to
conventions. Disney does not want people to wear costumes but you
can wear your hair up in leia buns or wear your infamous boba fett
helmet. Either way, we don't suggest getting TOO decked out because,
trust us, IT GETS HOOOTTTT!!!!
Here are the
Do's and Dont's of what to wear:
COSTUMES will
not be allowed, as Disney has their own costumed characters. If
you wish to wear a costume, become a member of the 501st Legion,
as they will most probably be involved with Disney festivities.
Even so, it is HOT and not very wise to wear costumes to the park.
DO:
Wear
light, confortable clothes (a t-shirt and shorts may be
preferred).
Wear
your hair up.
Wear
walking shoes.
Take
a light sweater or jacket you can comfortably wear around
your waist (sometimes it gets cold in the rides/shows/etc.)
|
DONT:
Wear
costumes that require a cape, robe, big heavy boots or uncomfortable
sandals.
Wear
big jackets/sweaters/etc.
Wear
big, bulky star wars masks, helmets, etc.
Wear
skimpy costumes (slave leia) since the Disney people may
get upset... (J/K!!!)
|
That's mostly
it... Just use your common sense and be prepared to walk, stand
in line, and GET HOT! The temperatures in May/June really get up
there in Orlando. Save your big elaborate costumes for inside conventions
and costume parties!
