2. STAR WARS WEEKENDS UPDATES
*New Simulation in Star Tours!!! Following a huge remodeling of Epcot, Disney is updating Star Tours. The ride was opened in 1989 and follows the themes of the original trilogy, so they are remodeling to fit the prequels too. The new film will depict characters from all the current films, including AOTC, and will be done for about $5-10 million.

*WE NEED YOUR REPORTS AND PICTURES! Because of the tiny Star Wars Weekend this year, the webmasters were not able to attend it! We need material to cover this year's events! Send anything to Princess Leiaorso.

3. NATALIE PORTMAN MEDIA (AND DVD?)

*Dunst vs. Portman? As MTV movie house commented earlier this month, the fight is on between Portman and Dunst, the two heroines of this summer's blockbusters, Spiderman and AOTC! Of course we all love Nat better!!! Have fun distorting Dunst and voting for Natalie: http://www.dunstvsportman.com/

*DVD- Apparently she will be appearing in the ROTJ DVD, in some extra scenes that will be filmed during Episode 3 production!

4. PADME'S ABRIDGED BIO
*Padme Naberrie was born in the Lake Country of Naboo to Jobal and Ruwee Naberrie. Living in Naboo, Padme was quickly recognized for her abilities and began training to become queen. She was elected at age 14 and became one of Naboo's best rulers. She led Naboo through the battle against the Trade Federation and passed the throne on to Queen Jamillia. Jamillia asked her to become Senator, so the late Queen Amidala became Senator Padme Amidala. As a main member of the senate and for revenge, the Trade Federation wants to get rid of her. Through some assassination attempts led by the separatists, Obi-Wan and the Jedi Council were able to uncover the clone army which is the major debate which Padme argues against in the Galactic Senate. Even though committed to her duty, Padme falls in love and marries Jedi Padawan Anakin Skywalker, and becomes the mother of the twins Luke and Leia. With no doubt, Padme is one of the most important characters in the Star Wars Saga.

5. SPECULATION ON PADME'S DEATH (EPISODE 3 SPOILER WARNING!!!!)

Highlight to read

*Well, with the emergence of AOTC, more and more fans wonder about Padme's death (and pregnancy). We all recall Luke asking Leia in ROTJ about their "beautiful, but sad" mother. Rumors say that the twins will be born at the end of Episode 3, in Dagobah (hence, Luke's strange Deja Vu in ESB), and then will be separated (Leia to Bail and Luke to Owen.) Even so, there are other speculations that Padme's death is Anakin's reason to fully turn to the Dark Side. Perhaps she is hurt in battle and dies in Anakin's arms, but then how does she have the twins? (See fan-made picture.) Some speculate that Anakin holds Padme while Luke is born, but he wants nothing to do with the babe. Padme "dies" and Anakin leaves...surprisingly though, Padme is still alive and ready to deliver another baby, Leia, who is then taken by Obi-Wan. Either way, how is Leia able to remember her mother if Padme dies while giving birth? Maybe Leia's Jedi abilities help her remember that far back? Well, it's up to us to imagine what will happen but in three more years GL will finally finish the puzzle...

Explanation and the sources: Padme is Leia's mother (Prequels). Leia Organa falls in love and marries Han (OT, The Courtship of Princess Leia). Han Solo is hunted down by the bounty hunter Greedo, employed by Jabba the Hutt (ANH).
