3. SPECIAL REPORT FROM BOTHAN8506

*Sometime last year, as all of the Episode II and Trilogy Remake pandemonium died down, my Dad and I felt it was necessary to peruse the aisles of Toys 'R Us (Gainesville) every weekend to keep an eye out for dropping prices and inventory emptying. Anywho, the price of the "Princess Leia in Endor Gear New Millennium Minted Coin Collection" figurine with a coin on a stand finally plumetted to about $3.50, I literally lunged at it while elbowing through throngs (throng = two people) of junkies that would buy toys and then resell them at their shops for quintuple the price. It took a while to choose between the two left - one with a poor paint job on the figurine, and the other with a small tear in the cellophane display window, but I chose the second of the two, and proceeded to checkout. It wasn't until I was at home that I realized that there was a mistake in the packaging. On the back side, where there were advertisements for other coin-and-figure-sets from the series, I saw that the one advertising "Bespin Han Solo" actually had a picture of the "Snowtrooper" coin above it. Anyhow, I thought I'd put that out to the public, just to see if anyone else has one of these treasures, and if they have noticed the error. Click Here to see a scanned picture.

4. ROTJ AND AOTC DVD FACTS

* Rumors have been clarified in the Jedi Council by Rick McCallum. There will be NO PADME in the ROTJ DVD. (FROM STAR WARS.COM):

September 05, 2002:

Q: I've heard rumors that Natalie Portman has shot scenes that will be inserted in to some future release of Return of the Jedi. Is this true?

A: What planet are you from? No. There would be no reason to do that. ... unless maybe we could find that metal bikini! ;)

* Along with the AOTC Full and Wide Screen version releases, there will be a TPM and AOTC DVD set released on November 12. PREORDER

WOOKIEE ACTION FIGURE REVIEW (BY HAN SOLO1138)

THIS WEEK: Unleashed Darth Vader

Being Vader isn't a conventional figure....I will do the review a little different

Sculpting: Great!!! This figure surpasses the entire line! Maul looked dumb, Jango was cool but Boba looked like a dog, Anakin creeps me out, and we all know Padme's problem about forgeting to put on a bra. This is a classic pose of Vader and I don't think they could have done it better.
Paint: Painting is ok....it is Vader so he doesn't have or need a lot of paint (just black plastic). The paint ops he has are clean and look great...again this figure is outstanding!
Best Part: he is simply awsome! the best figure of the line so far
Worst Part: Him and Padme are impossable to find (I was lucky enough to be at Toys R Us when a new shipment came in)
Rating: I give Vader a 5 out of 5 stars!

SIX DEGREES OF STAR WARS

In this week's six degrees we will connect Count Dooku to Harrison Ford without using Star Wars.

Harrison Ford > John Rhyes Davies > Christopher Lee

Explanation: Harrison Ford played Han Solo in Star Wars and Indiana Jones, John Rhyes Davies played Salah (Indiana Jone's Assistant) and Gimli (Lord of the Rings), Christpher Lee played Saruman (LOTR) and Count Dooku in Star Wars.
