4. SABACC

*The Great Game of Sabacc was played by Han Solo and Lando Calrissian. Unfortunately, Lando lost to Han and as a prize, Solo got the Millenium Falcon. Many fans don't know how to play the game that gave Han his glorious freighter, but we're here to help!

*There are many variations of the game: Old Republic Rules, Rebel Alliance Rules, New Republic Rules, Imperial Rules, Cloud City Casino Rules, Mos Eisley Rules, Corellian Rules, Corporate Sector Rules, and Crseih Station Rules. Each variation changes the "power" of some cards (such as the Master or the Knight). Also, they each have certain winning hands (idiot's array, Jedi's array) .

*The object of the game is to get 23 or the highest score closest to that. Your hand can exceed 23 but cannot go over 46. If it is over 23, then you must subtract 23 from the total to get your total score points. Therefore, a perfect hand would be 23 or 46 (46-23=23). These are called Pure Sabacc and Sabacc respectively (Pure Sabacc always wins over Sabacc). There are a multitude of winning hand combinations, depending on the rule variations used.

*There is a total of 76 cards in a Sabacc deck. The game is supposed to be computerized (as played in the SW universe) but one can play with 2 Tarot decks or make their own. There are 4 suits (each with 11 numbered cards and 4 ranked cards) and 16 face cards (2 of each: Idiot, Rancor, Jedi Knight,  Jedi Master, Dark Jedi, Lord of the Sith, Smuggler, Bounty Hunter) whose points change according to rule variation.

*The following Table shows Tarot to Sabacc Conversions (and respective points):
