2.STAR WARS WEEKENDS NEWS
*We need your Star Wars Weekends Reports! Any year is welcome! tmwtoty@inbox.lv
*As you all know, there have been rumors about the new
Disney Toy store having
Action Figures of Captain Rex and a G-5 droid. The store, which is at
Downtown
Disney (you know, where all that construction is taking place) will open
on
August 1,2002. Apparentely, the press release of the store has a picture
of a
kid with two action figures. The figures appear to be Captain Rex and
are shown
with a green Hasbro Star Wars toy packaging... Stay tuned for more updates!!!

3. SIX DEGREES
*This week: Mara Jade Skywalker and Dexter Jester (without
using Anakin
Skywalker)
Mara Jade -> Palpatine -> Count Dooku -> Obi Wan -> Dexter Jester
Explanation: Mara Jade was hired by Palpatine to kill
Luke Skywalker, Palpatine
{as sidious} seduced Dooku to the Dark Side, Count Dooku holds Obi Wan
captive
on Geonosis and reveals many truths about the Republic {which Obi Wan
does not
believe}, Obi Wan and Dexter Jester are old friends.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

5. WOOKIE ACTION FIGURE REVIEW (by Han Solo1138)
*This Week: Anakin Skywalker Hangar Duel (Collection 1, Figure 22)
Articulation: Anakin is articulated at the head, arms,
elbows (which is
useless), wrist, waist and his legs
Likeness: Pretty good, the figure is not 100% Hayden,
but it looks like
pretty close, the only thing is his funny facial expression...that I could
do
without
Accessories: Anakin comes with the green lightsaber he
uses in the Arena
Battle and his own blue lightaber
Action Feature: Turn the wheel on his back and his left-wrist
rotates to give
him a saber-slashing action. His right arm comes off with a magnet, it
is an
awful thing because the magnet is SO weak his arm falls off whenever you
touch
him! His green lightsaber is also 'attracted' to his right hand via 'the
force'
(another weak magnet), it works as good as his arm's magnet.
Best Part: It is an ok Anakin to put on display...he looks
a lot better than
the other Anakin figure available at the time (outland pesant).
Worst Part: I think it has to be the magnets in his elbow
and wrist....really
seem cheap!
Grade: Three out of Five stars, if his arm and 'force
power' worked he would
have gotten a 4 1/2 out of five...
