NEWS:

NO EPISODE 2 TRAILER!

Well people, most of us found this stuff out last week and were crushed. Some may not believe it still but it's true! We even saw Planet of the Apes and can guarantee you that there is NO EPISODE 2 TRAILER!!!! But watch out, there is a veeeeeeery long Britney Spears pepsi commercial.... (at least there was at the one we went to). So WATCH OUT (if you don't like Britney Spears...). The trailer will be out in Fall but we don't know when yet. But if you guys wanna see a good movie, you definately should check it out.

STAR WARS 25th Anniversary Celebration!

Indianapolis, Indiana will be the site for the 2002 Star Wars Celebration/25th anniversary of Star Wars gathering! This was never "officially" announced, though I actually did know about this back in mid-May. I was asked by LucasFilm "sources" to not say anything, which I did, but now that the cat is all but out of the bag I can speak up ! This will be a convention MUCH different than the last one. Some of you may remember all of the rain and how miserable it was for some. The upcoming event will be TOTALLY indoors! This is a fan-oriented event - meaning a lot, if not all happening will be even more fan-oriented. (from SIRSTEVE'S GUIDE)

Confirmed News

With Steve Sansweet attending the San Diego ComicCon, he brought with him a ton of news and information regarding EPISODE II. I will elaborate on a few things and I invite you to visit our EPISODE 2 (spoiler) Forum and discuss your thoughts! Here's a sampling of CONFIRMED NEWS from the ComicCon:

No novel characters in EPISODE 2 - so we won't see Mara Jade and other ficticious characters popping up anywhere.

Obi-Wan's saber has Vader's hilt - Interesting. What does these mean in relation to the original trilogy ?

No young Tarkin - I know a lot of folks had hped for this, me included. I wonder if this is just EP2 or EP2 and 3 - maybe Tarkin will show up in EP3 ?

There will be female Jedi Knights - I would have kind of assumed this. The Galaxy can't be so small that there's only MALE Jedi Knights.

They showed a clip of the arena fight - I bet this looked awesome. I am looking forward to seeing the Reek in action. No "key" wookies in E2 but there will be wookie species - so Chewbacca won't be featured in EP2 - who knows, maybe EP3 ?

Sam Jackson wanted a purple saber, Lucas said ok (even though prior mace windu saber reference was blue)- I think we had all heard about this, and it was even hinted at on a Fan Club magazine cover.

Cool - maybe we'll get yellow and other various colors too !

Trailer sometime in fall (not in Planet of the apes)- Again, I think we assumed this. Summer is way to early for this trailer. (SEE ABOVE ARTICLE)

This came to me straight from our own SirSteve! (SOURCE: SIR STEVE'S GUIDE)

WOOKIE READER- STAR WARS- HEIR TO THE EMPIRE. BY TIMOTHY ZAHN.

It's five years after Return of the Jedi: the Rebel Alliance has destroyed the Death Star, defeated Darth Vader and the Emperor, and driven out the remnants of the old Imperial Starfleet to a distant corner of the galaxy. Princess Leia and Han Solo are married and expecting Jedi Twins. And Luke Skywalker has become the first in a long-awaited line of Jedi Knights. But thousand of light-years away, the last of the emperor's warlords has taken command of the shattered Imperial Fleet, readied it for war, and pointed it at the fragile heart of the new Republic. For this dark warrior has made two vital discoveries that could destroy everything the courageous men and women of the Rebel Alliance fought so hard to build. The explosive confrontation that results is a towering epic of action, invention, mystery, and spectacle on a galactic scale--in short, a story worthy of the name Star Wars.
